Our Mission
At AdventHealth Apopka, our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ to our community by
providing the most advanced care in the area within a compassionate, caring environment that puts our
patients and families first. The PGY1 pharmacy residency program was established in 2020. Our inaugural
class graduated in June 2021. Our program’s purpose is to build on the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related
care of patients with a wide range of conditions. Additionally, these pharmacists will be eligible for
board certification and postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
