It’s that time of year again – the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation (NACDS Foundation) has opened its 2023-2024 application cycle for the Executive Fellowship in Association and Foundation Management. This fellowship provides a PharmD post-graduate opportunity to enjoy a year-long, paid professional and educational experience in the greater Washington, DC area*.

The NACDS Foundation Executive Fellow will have the opportunity to:

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare and research leaders throughout the year on initiatives that enhance patient care and aim to improve health outcomes at the national level;
  • Develop skills in project management and research while fostering an understanding of key issues impacting public health through hands-on engagement in Foundation activities;
  • Work collaboratively to advance patient care through a diverse body of academic partners and other stakeholders within an evolving healthcare system with the aim of the improvement of public health and coordination of care; and
  • Explore and develop novel initiatives that advance the Foundation’s mission.

With a flexible program and a wealth of resources, the Executive Fellowship program provides post-graduate educational opportunities that will help shape healthcare leaders.

Please be advised that due to the on-going COVID-19  pandemic, the NACDS office is currently working under a hybrid schedule, consisting of two days in-office and remaining days via remote status. However, the status of the NACDS office is subject to change. NACDS will work with the selected Executive Fellow to address pandemic-related considerations.

We encourage motivated PharmD students who are in their final year to apply. Applicants are required to submit a current resume or CV, a copy of pharmacy school transcripts, a cover letter explaining career goals and interest in the Fellowship, and one letter of recommendation from a pharmacy dean, faculty member, preceptor, or a current/recent pharmacy employer.
