The Pharmacist, Intern I perform functions of Pharmacy Technician, in compliance with all policies and procedures for the Pharmacy Department and Orlando Health.
Responsibilities

  • Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs such as outdated drug monitoring, CQI Program, Unit
  • Dose Packaging of medication, IV Room QA and PI Logs, and USP Chapter 797 compliance.
  • Dispense medications utilizing the medication dispensing system according to scientific principles and Orlando Health policy and procedure, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Manufacture and dispense intravenous medication using proper aseptic technique, under the direct
    supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other
    federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Position Requirements 

  • Education/Training
  • High School graduate.
  • Currently registered in and attending an ACPE-Accredited or pending APCE Accreditation, College or School
    of Pharmacy.
  • Must be in 1st or 2nd professional year of pharmacy school.
  • Licensure/Certification
  • Registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern
