The program will have an intensive focus on pharmacotherapy to develop the skills necessary for providing excellent patient care within the pharmacy profession at both of our facilities. The resident will focus on evidence-based medicine and participation in the healthcare team to design and manage drug treatment regimens for our patients. Opportunities for the resident will include research projects, medication use evaluations, conference attendance, committee involvement, precepting students, and more to create a well-rounded clinical pharmacist by the end of the PGY1 year. The resident will be exposed to our Level II Trauma Center as well as the region’s only comprehensive stroke center.
