NEA Baptist Memorial PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program

The NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is a NEW program. We have started recruiting for our second year of pharmacy residents! Our preceptors and myself are exciting for this upcoming year and we would love for you to check our program out.

NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, is comprised of the 228-bed NEA Baptist Hospital and NEA Baptist Clinic, one of northeast Arkansas’ largest physician groups. The hospital offers a number of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgical services, neurology, cancer care, open-heart surgery, as well as labor and delivery services through the hospital’s Women’s Center. NEA Baptist Clinic’s 100 physicians practice in more than 35 specialties and offer a wealth of services, from weight loss surgery to chemotherapy. In keeping with the three-fold ministry of Christ — Healing, Preaching and Teaching — NEA Baptist is committed to providing quality health care.

NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is a 52-week program composed of four required 8-week block learning experiences, one required longitudinal learning experience, pharmacy administration, as well as a staffing component and a year-long research project. The resident will choose from four offered elective learning experiences to complete the residency year. The program structure ensures greater than two thirds of the residency program is spent in direct patient care activities and that no more than one-third of the residency year deals with a specific disease state or patient population.
