The recruitment process has begun for the PGY1 pharmacy practice residents at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital (NFH) in Gainesville, Florida. To continue to grow the excellence in clinical and collaborative practice, the Department of Pharmacy is searching for two highly motivated, professional pharmacy candidates to fill the pharmacy resident positions for a start date of July 2026.
NFH is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving north central Florida. NFH offers a wide scope of services including comprehensive cardiovascular, oncology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, women’s health, neurology, wound care therapy and more. NFH is a fully accredited Joint Commission facility that offers a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, Center of Knee and Hip Replacement, Spine Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and a new Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program.

The Pharmacy Practice Residency at NFH is designed to provide the resident with broad experiences in the inpatient and outpatient settings to develop the clinical and interpersonal skills necessary to excel independently in practice. Rotation Experiences include: Adult Medicine, Administration, Ambulatory Care, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Infectious Diseases, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology/TCT, Surgery, Transitions of Care, and completing a Research Project.
