Memorial Health University Medical Center Residency Opportunity

Memorial Health University Medical Center is a 711- bed academic medical center affiliated with Mercer College of Medicine. Most of the clinical rotations offer academic-style rounding experiences with attending physicians, medical residents, medical students, and pharmacy students. They are a level I trauma center, which allows the program to offer robust experiences such as Emergency Medicine and Critical Care – Trauma/Surgery. They have a neurovascular ICU, medical ICU, and cardiovascular ICU, offering lifesaving procedures such as Impella and ECMO. Memorial Healh also has a Children’s hospital affiliated with the facility, including a level IV neonatal ICU, which allows for multiple pediatric rotation options.

The residents participate in longitudinal experiences that help develop their skills in research, leadership, code blue response, IV sterile compounding, and clinical and operational staffing. Our residents also earn their teaching certificate and present at national and regional conferences. Memorial Health often early commits one of our PGY-1 residents into our PGY-2 critical care program.
