Sarasota Memorial Hospital is seeking two motivated and team-oriented 1PD Pharmacy students to join our longitudinal Pharmacy Intern Program. This program offers hands-on experience in hospital pharmacy practice and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.
About the Program
Pharmacy interns at Sarasota Memorial Hospital gain valuable exposure to clinical pharmacy services while working alongside experienced pharmacists across multiple practice areas. Interns participate in activities such as:
- Obtaining medication histories
- Providing bedside medication education to patients
- Collaborating with pharmacists in diverse clinical settings
- Supporting direct patient-care initiatives
This internship is designed to help P1 students build foundational clinical skills, strengthen communication abilities, and gain real-world hospital pharmacy experience.
