Purpose
This 1-year VA Simulation Fellowship (7/1/21-6/30/22) will develop leaders with the vision, knowledge, and commitment to lead simulation-based strategies to improve healthcare for Veterans.
Eligibility

Funding
Trainee stipend rates are determined by the VA Office of Academic Affiliations, depending on the discipline and previous education of the trainee. Fellows may be eligible for health and life insurance benefits.
Application Process
Submit (A) a cover letter, of no more than 3 pages, explaining why you are interested in the fellowship program; areas of clinical and healthcare expertise and relevant experience; short- and long-term professional goals including your personal goals for the fellowship; and evidence of your interest in pursuing a VA career with clinical simulation as a significant focus, (B) complete curriculum vitae with the contact information for 3 professional references, including Residency Program Director, and (C) 2 signed letters of recommendation (1 must be from the Residency Program Director, if applicable). Application Deadline
Applications will be considered until positions are filled or March 15.
Selection Process
A panel of simulation and patient safety experts will review applications and recommend the most qualified applicants for (virtual) interviews. Candidates will be selected based on demonstrated interest in simulation, interest in remaining in the VA system, alignment of personal goals and planned program activities, and strength of recommendations.
