Rivertown Publix in Jacksonville is seeking a pharmacy intern. The ideal candidate would start in July or August. Previous retail pharmacy experience is preferred but not required. The student will work as a pharmacy technician until they have their Florida Board of Pharmacy Intern license.
Job description for a pharmacy intern would include: serve pharmacy patients, assist pharmacist in dispensing medication, providing immunizations, conducting health screenings, and assisting in medication therapy management to pharmacy patients. Interns would also be able to take new prescriptions from doctor’s offices, give/receive transfers of prescriptions, and counsel patients on their prescription/OTC medications.
